Mafia Island Paradise
A 40 minute flight south of Dar es Salaam, Mafia
is one of the most exciting big game fishing and
diving areas in the world. Sports fisherman flock
here for the superb catches, which include marlin,
sailfish, shark, tuna, kingfish, barracuda, snapper,
horse mackerel, wahoo and huge rock cod. The main
season is from September to March although fishing
is possible all year round within the reef and channel.
